Yesterday I went to The Boiling Crab on Brookhurst and Westminster with Linda, Lauren, Sam and AK. O-M-G!!! I didn't think the wait would be more than 1 ish hour but it was 2.5 hrs long. I was running a bit late and didn't get there until 6:20pm. Linda got there first and put her name down and I was SHOCKED at the wait time. I was thinking to myself: Should we stay or go and if we go, where else could we eat? Lauren wasn't even out of work yet and AK was still on her way.... After much thought, Sam, Linda and I decided to stick it out.
Fast forward two point five hours later, Linda had to leave. She had to go home for a prior engagement. Shortly afterwards, we were seated and proceeded to order. We ordered the sweet potato fries and fried calamari to share. AK ordered jamabalya w/o rice because it was chilly from all of the waiting outside. Sam had the oysters since she doesn't like crawfish. Thankfully she had Cuon while we were waiting. :)

The main course as always is the crawfish. Thankfully it was fresh not frozen. AK and I shared two lbs. of the medium hot of the whole shebang while Lauren had 2 lbs. of the mild.

Was it worth the wait? I think it was a matter of principle. LOL We had waited so long that didn't want to leave. Sam said she is going to take John to the BC in Chino Hill just to see if it's as busy as the one as on Brookhurst. Maybe we went on a flukey Friday and because it was spring break but I'm glad I went. The reason is I got to spend time with friends and that is time well spent. :)
